Summer Bishil is an American actress who is best known in her portrayal as Margo Hanson in the Syfy Fantasy drama The Magicians (2015-present). Her previous role as a Lebanese American young woman Jasira, who goes through many personal trials against the backdrop of the U.S. war in Iraq in the Gulf War was featured in Alan Ball's film Towelhead. Her character was then selected as one of Variety's 10 actors to watch in 2007. Her character was a powerful one Taslima Jahangir in 2009's crime drama film Crossing Over for which she received nominations for the Independent Spirit Award in the Best Female lead category. The actress also appeared as a co-lead and guest in Lucky 7 and other films such as Mooz-lum The Last Airbender Pop Star.
